Zen-Introduction with Marcel Steiner
«Zen is life» says the head of our Zen family, Zen master Bernie Glassman.This course introduces you to the basics of Zen meditation. You learn how to sit and how to deal with whatever arises in your mind during meditation.
Most of the time is spent in silence. Besides meditation periods the weekend offers a discourse and the possibility of a private interview with the teacher. You also get to know some of the basic Zen rituals.

At last year’s first sesshin in English, there was an atmosphere of openness and deep communion among the participants from six different countries.
Germanspeaking participants also enjoyed approaching familiar texts in another language.It was such a wonderful experience that we have decided to continue. Normal sesshin rhythm with about 7½ hours of Zazen, private interview, possibility to participate in a Christian celebration. Prior experience in meditation
is useful.

Introduction into Ignatian Exercises
This directed Ignatian retreat follows the insights of the spiritual exercises of St. Ignatius. A still and prayerful atmosphere is essential so that everyone may find his/her own daily rhythm of prayer, reflection and relaxation. Meeting daily and individually with their director, retreatants look contemplatively at the movement of their spirit. The celebration of liturgy is the only scheduled communal gathering during these retreats.
